Salvation Testimony

        My name is Mary Chesser. I am a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville Indiana. My pastor is Pastor Jerry Ross. I am a veteran of the United States Army. I served my country 3 years and 4 months between the years of 1961 and 1965.

        I would like to share my testimony of salvation with you. I really do not feel as if I have a very exciting or spectacular testimony, however the God of my salvation is exciting and spectacular!

        I attended church with my parents for as long as I can remember. What an important truth it is to be faithful to God’s house and to hear God’s Word taught and preached. As a 15 year old teenager on Easter Sunday the preacher preached a message on Hell. I did not want to go to Hell so I got saved. I knew that I was a sinner and that Jesus had died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.

         On the way home from that service I asked my dad to stop at three different places so that I could tell those folks that I had got saved. Everywhere I went from then on I would tell others what Jesus had done by saving me.

        Throughout the years I have always shared Jesus with anyone that would listen. Many times I was told that I had to stop talking about Jesus, but I just could not be quiet about what He had done in my life.

        Jesus loves each of us very much. He wants you to go to Heaven. He died on the cross to pay the debt of our sin. He was buried and then rose from the grave three days later. He is now in Heaven anxiously awaiting the day that He can come back to take us to Heaven with Him.

        You must admit and confess that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for our sin, was buried, and rose again, and then simply accept Him in order to go to Heaven and escape Hell. Dear Veteran Friend, I invite you to receive Jesus today.
